Hi - I live in the UK, I'm a manager at an auto service station, and have a private pilot licence - makes me closer to UFO's some times, but never seen one yet - one reason for my interest in SETI@home (plus i'd love to be THE ONE to find THE SIGNAL on my pc)
I'm really into all the sci-fi movies and books as well, and as for Area 51, who knows? Maybe we'll all learn the truth because of one of us running this screen saver? Maybe a signal that somebody forgot to hide from us will show up here! |
| Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home |

I saw an article on SETI@home in a magazine here in the UK almost a couple of years ago, and signed up there and then! I thought what a great idea! Problem is now that my times to carry out each work unit is much slower than most others so I feel the need to upgrade the pc to get back up there with the fast guys! At least that would make Mr Intel happy (maybe he should be a major sponsor????)
Will we find a signal that represents the destructive aliens found in Independence Day or those friendly ones like in Star Trek? Who knows, but we need all the help we can get to save our planet, good or bad. |
