I'm a 25 year old archeology student(2e year, specialized in Indian America) from the Netherlands. Currently I'm looking for a room and a job in Leiden or The hague or Rotterdam,so if anybody knows one, please help!!

| Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home |

I am absolutely sure that extraterrestrial life exists somewhere out there. When we will discover them? Who knows, maybe today, tomorrow, next year or in another life. But we will meet them.
When we discover them, the next decision will be if we should maintain contact, because it might just be possible that our soceities might not be compatible in any way possibly imaginable. But I also believe those odds to be very slim.
The biggest danger of contact with an alien race might lie in disease but don't rule out the many possibilities of conflict between them and us. If we find means of communication at all...
But if there's willpower then there's bound to be a solution.
I run seti@home because I believe this project doesn't only add to the effords of finding somebody out there, but also, these kind of projects support the feeling of global awareness which the world needs right now. We all need to get out in the universe as one mind otherwise we're lost.
