Personal background
Hi!

I'm a 25 year old from scotland who will be startting a course in astronomy in october 2002 run by Glasgow University in the evening's, this should hopefully lead to a degree in astronomy or astrophysics. At present I work in a college as an IT Technician.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
Yes. Extraterrestrial life definetly exist's, it has to. There is just to much space in our galaxay nevermind the universe. With other planets already discovered, I dont think it will be to long before alien life is discovered, this I do not think will be in our solar system.

For the question of transmiting a beacon, I dont think we should. Intead of transmiting a beacon I think we should go out there ourselves.
