Personal background
Im from California. I'm 14 and im a freshman this year. I am interested in computers, art, running (cross country and track). I also like to watch the seti screensaver sometimes:D my eyes start to hurt after a couple hours. I used to run my computer 24/7 to get more data units but it drove me crazy at night because my computer is pretty noisy. My fastest time was about 6 hours and 21 seconds.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I think extraterrestrial life exists. I think it is out there in some form or another, but i think that life on another planet could be so much different from life on earth that we might not even recognize it as "life" if we saw it.
Maybe its not even "alive." Maybe its just some kind of green mist with such supperior intellegence that it doesnt even count us as life. hmm... who knows!

But maybe they are like us in enough of a way that they would want to send out radio waves to us. And if we ever did hear anything from them they are so far away that it wouldnt really matter! The human race would probably be extinct by the time any reply we sent to them got to them.

Well i just sorrta said that SETI was pointless but it isnt. Well at least not totally. It gives my computer something to do while im taking a bathroom break from my computer :)) Actually if we did find ET it would just tell us that we are not alone and maybe what those other "people" are up to.
