Profile: Mario Di Maggio

Personal background
I work at the Thinktank Science Museum in Birmingham, England, as manager of the planetarium. Personally I'm madly in love with the Universe, obsessed with reality, and I'm told a very interesting person (not to mention good-looking). Visit my website and judge for yourself: www.dimaggio.org

Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I honestly believe we cannot be alone in the Universe and radio broadcasts (accidental or deliberate) from intelligent civilizations are very likely passing through our galactic neighbourhood right now. The day we pick up one of these messages, the thinking of the human race will be transformed forever. We will finally wake up from our drunken primitive slumber and for the first time understand what being conscious in the Universe is all about.
