Profile: Frank the Fuse

Personal background
Hi, I'm from Schiedam in the Netherlands. I'm a musician and play bass in a rhythm''n blues band called the Fusebusters. I'm married and have an 11 weeks old daughter named Nina Alanis. She is my pride and joy. For the most time I'm occupied with the care of my daughter. When I have a spare moment I like to watch/read all about Formula 1. Also play GP3 on the pc. I also like to read about the universe. Quantum physics and all the difficult stuff that comes along with that.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
Yes, I do think we are not alone. If there are more stars in the universe than sandgrains on our planet it would be selfcentered to think that we are all alone. Mankind will probably not discover e.t. life for a while because it will not be in our direct surroundings. Intelligent life will probably be in an other galaxy. So before we discover that there will be a few years past. I don't think there will be a threat to any discovery because by the time we discover e.t. life we will be so far advanced we could handle any threat. But I don't thing it will be a 'Star Wars'or 'Alien' experience. Yes we should transmit a beacon for others to find but with less info. than we did on the Voyager. No DNA info for one thing! But general info about were we are. I run the SETI@home because I like to help out. No matter how small my contribution might be all help is nessecery. I like the project because it is the right thing to do. No, I don't have any serious suggestions.
