Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
An old theory called 'Direct Panspermia' states that we are aliens of Planet Earth.
Imagine this...
If the planet had existed for 12 hours starting a midnight, the oldest rocks appeared about 1 o'clock (4 billion years). Oldest fossils appeared around 3 o'clock; first evidence of photsynthesis (creation of oxygen) appeared around roughly noon. Oldest true cells appeared mid noon; animals around 11 o'clock and man just before midnight.
Question: Why is that it took approx 9 hours (in a 12 hour clock) for simple life forms like bacteria to form yet just before midnight man comes along; a very complicated life form?
