Profile: DirtyFreddy

Personal background
HI. My name is Fred.

So this is my profile.. huh.... nice.

Well... anyway, I live in Ohio... I just missed my 10yr highschool reunion... and it is good that I did. I am a loudmouth jerk and I would have been bragging to everyone about how much money I make and how smart I am and all that bologna, I would have felt like a moron for a week or so...
not to mention everytime I happended to think of how much of a jerk I would have been, I would have to something stupid outloud.. like, so those RedSox don't really wear red socks huh!

So anyway, I am a Consulting Information Security Scientist... or not really... more just like a regular consultant... but I do have Sr. in my title... I think it's because I am the only one at my company... doesn't matter. That's my day job.

My night job is sleeping... and it is also some of my day job too... I am good at it. Really.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home

>>Why do you run SETI@home?

I want to find aliens. I guess that's there's a different question here that underlies all of this. Like, "Do you believe in aliens?" or "Why do you believe in aliens?" or it can get realy heavy real fast like "If aliens are discovered, what happens to the millions of Republican "religious right" that have invested their lives in the story of christianity, which would get outdated pretty damn quick?"
well... I don't know about all that, I just want to make the world a better place for my children, I want to progress civilization, and uhm... peace on earth or something universally over-said, yet universally understated.

>>What are your views about the project?

Sheeshe, seti@home is the best! Think about the things that exemplify many hands make light work... seti@home is at the pinnacle of that.

>>Any suggestions?

How about more fundraising for publicity stunts... like, get some money together and buy some ipods or Playstation portables and give them away. I'll donate for that... even if I don't win.
