Personal background
I am from Shanghai, China. I graduated from college in 1999. Now most of my leisure time is taken up by surfing on the net while contributing to the search of Extraterrestrial Intelligence. I most like reading books including browsing scientific journals on line. However, dream is not reality. I am not professionally working for the scientific enterprise like SETI.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
When thinking of finding an Extraterrestrial Intelligence, I feel excited but somewhat worried. The mixed feeling is common because we undoubtedly begin to suspect our uniqueness in universe in some degree, unavoidably raise questions about the significance of our existence and deeply contemplate what our future lies. But if there indeed exists the Extraterrestrial Intelligence, we have to meet the challenge. I wish the finding about ET does not mean opening another Pandora's Box. Also, this may be an inevitable process of civilization evolution. Good luck to human being.

Note: www.pnas.org contains many thought-provoking and persuasive articles about astronomy and astrobiology.
