Personal background
Hi there... I was born in 1974 in Lucerne, Switzerland. I started studying Computer Sciences at the Federal Institute of Technology (ETH) in Zurich for 2 years, before I switched to Biology at the same Institute. I did my Diploma work in 2001 on Limnology and afterwards started a PhD at the Institute of Zoology at the University of Zurich. Working with hybridogenetic frogs, that is :-)
Hobbies? Hm... Science in general, Nature, Computer Games, Biking, Partying :-)
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I've heard of SETI@home long time ago while I was studying Computer Sciences. But I forgot about that, until I surfed onto a Website of some Space Biologists... And voilà, here I am, participating ;-) I think it's great to be part of this community just by letting your computer do some "intelligent work" in its "spare time"...
