Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
1. Is there anyone else out there? Of course extra solar life exists. Only human arrogance would suggest otherwise.

2. Are they looking as well? Yes, others are looking, just as are we.

3. Why do I run the SETI@home program(s)? Because it is important. In the present political cliamte, where resources are allocated to help combat terrorism, and policing petty dictatorships and their mythologically based wars, it is more important than ever for scientists as well as for laypersons to run this program. Out of the vastness of space, these signals will be comparatively loud, however, they may very well be coming from a "pinpoint" in the sky. The more eyes we have looking up, the better.
