I am originally from Holland, I have lived in Canada for the past 52 years.
I like fishing and photography this fits very well with my love for the Rocky Mountains. I can travel there at a moments notice. I also visit the largest shopping center in the world which is in my city.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
1. Yes I do believe that ET exists. We probably discover it with SETI. The danger as I see it, is in the way ET might have evolved, it would be highly unlikely that the are the same as us.
2. Yes we should send a beacon. Just a universal radio signal to let them know we are also here.
3. I find SETI very interesting and I want to help. I think the project is very worthwile. It should be better funded by Government not just the US but by other countrys as well. Lets face it they will all want to jump on the bandwagon when ET calls.
