Personal background
At this time I am a 24 year old Web Developer working for a wholesaler / distributor of pharmaceutical products. I've been a full-blown christian all my life. Been around computers since 4th grade, and dedicated to music since 3rd grade. I have many interests, the first one being Worshipping the Lord with all my life, all my soul, and with all my strength. Secondly, I have a passion for computers and programming, being web developing my current occupation. And last but never least, I love music, playing different instruments but I dedicate most of the time to playing the electric bass, and recording / producing Praise and Worship recordings in my home studio. For as long as I remember I have been fascinated with space and astronomy, and this is also one of my deepest loves. My favorite movie is CONTACT, so that gives you an idea of where I got this SETI thing started ;-)

Since I live in Puerto Rico, it is a snap for me to take a trip to Arecibo and see one of the most fascinating sights in the whole earth (at least for someone who is fascinated by these kind of things). So if any of you would like a photo of it, let me know ;-)
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I beleive in Creation, that God created us and took the time to develop what we all are now, but I beleive that as being a workful God he did take the millions of years to create us. Not that I don't beleive that He has the Power to do so in a sinch. The point is that I happen to beleive that it is possible that God could have created some kind of race in His Creation. I am not saying that he did, but being such a Great Being he could have done so. We might never know.

I beleive that the effort to look for other life gives us hope. True, maybe we might never discover other races. But I find hope, I find deep willingness in "just looking". If we do discover it, then it would be a tremendous breakthrough, and it will give me more assurance of the mightyness of our God.

That's why I use SETI@HOME. Right now, I have three computers running non-stop 24 hours a day, helping the idea that we are a capable race; that not everything has been discovered, that there is plenty of rooms for dreams and dreamers... As I look at the stars, I beleive that God is a mighty God, and by helping SETI I am helping people know that if we do find people out there, then there is a God that created them too.

This project is in my opinion one of the best inventions on the net besides e-mail and ICQ hehe. You should keep it going and keep this proyect growing.
