Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I think that the abandonment of project SETI by NASA in 1993 was the best possible action. Indeed, the discovery and thus the effort of analysis belong to the whole of Humanity and not at a government agency. It is the movement of the people of the world and not the policy which justifies the greatest project of the Human History. Thank you in Carl Sagan and Paul Such, Gil tarter and all the team which works on SETI to relay with the individuals the participation! in fact, project SETI became inalterable!
I think that the life exists between the 400x400 billion stars but most interesting is to find a message archaeological, radio operator testimony of the evolution of the intelligence. Why? because will be able to see whether the degrees of technology push civilizations with autodestrucion ; but also to give a genuine mirror to a antropocentric humanity. The " contact " in him even will be fantastic! but what to think of the efforts which it will be necessary to provide to decoding??? It with will have dimensioned of SETI@home Décrypt@home there?
For me curiosity is the feeling; the shape of the most advanced intelligence of the universe... let us give us to them average to be curious!
