1. I really think that extraterrestrial life exists. In the universe, we can't just be the only intelligent beings! If there are other lifeforms out there, I doubt very much if they'll be evil (as mainly portrayed in science fiction films) or want to conquer the Earth, as it wouldn't be worth them travelling such a vast distance to do it!
2. As for humans transmitting a beacon into space for others to find...Not sure! What could we sent that couldn't be misconstrude as being offensive or just utter nonsense?
3. I run Seti for a bit of a laugh/something to do with my wasted CPU cycles, and compete within my Seti group. |
