Profile: Greenman

Personal background
I am an amatuer student of astronomy, taking the occasional chance to gaze up at the stars. I have not pursued it so much as of recently, but now that I have my faster computer, I have rejoined the SETI program. I had originally tried it back when I had a P200 and that was an effort in futility. I have an AMD 1.2GHz and it goes a wee bit faster now :) I am 23 years old, and soon to be a student of music. I think there is much in common between what I do and the astronomer. I'm quite sure that looking up at the stars, the avid astronomer can hear the heavens singing their own unique song.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I think the SETI project is worthwhile. Perhaps we will meet some race of beings similar to our own in technology level and we will be able to share ideas and thoughts across the void, each helping the other to advance in ideas of philosophy, science, art, music, the view of the universe, etc. I run SETI at home because it is a small way that I can contribute to a possible historical event.
