My name is Mike, and I am a 52 year old (at the time of this posting) software engineer from Rochester, NY.
I was born and raised as a Roman Catholic, but I currently consider myself somewhat of an agnostic. I think that there probably is a higher power out there somewhere, although I do no accept this with absolute faith (especially given all of the troubles that various "religions" have caused on this relatively insignificant rock orbiting this relatively insignificant star in this remote arm of a single collection of stars.) I certainly do not subscribe to the idea that we are alone in this vast universe (or, for that matter, this galaxy.)
If there is other intelligent life out there within reach of us, I certainly hope that they choose to live by a simple, two-word motto: "Be Nice!"
This world (and universe) would be a better place if every intelligent being thought like this.
