Personal background

Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
1. Do you think extraterrestrial life exists? If so, when and how will humans discover it? What are the possible benefits and dangers of such a discovery?

Probably, I mean there are trillions of planets in the Universe... I don't know, hopefully it'll be something like Star Trek where they find us... Widespread panic of course, a lot of people may not be able to deal with the religious and psychological implications of suck a discovery.

2. Should humans transmit a beacon for others to find? If so, what information should we send?

Didn't we already send out a radio signal with some basic information?? Probably about our History, Religions, and our technological abilities...

3. Why do you run SETI@home? What are your views about the project? Any suggestions?

Cause otherwise my computer would just be sitting useless or possibly turned off. I think its a great idea and something that gives people with in an interest in the subject matter an outlet, even though they may not be in the same profession in their daily lives; it gives people a chance to pursue something they're passionate about. Maybe let people know if the info they went through had anything of importance in it, if thats even possible...
