Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
Extraterrestrial life almost have to exist - in one form or another. Of course we can't be sure until some kind of proof has been presented. Until then; one of the big questions for me is what kind of life will it be. Will it be very primitive organisms, like on earth a long long time ago or will it be fairly intelligent races like humans beings. Or will it be super-intelligent species, who don't even want to waste time trying to communicate with us? Until we know (if ever) I feel that we have to keep our eyes and ears open.

This is what SETI does, and even better it doesn't require much of its users. Just a bit of processor-time from the computer. And thinking about how little the processor is actually calculating in a normal PC, it is not much to ask.
