Personal background
My name is Jim H. I am from Bensalem, PA I go to Bensalem High School, but since BHS is... inadaquet, I decided to join the Holy Ghost Prep Team. I run Seti@home on my wonderful 1.4Ghz AMD Thunderbird processor with 512MB ram and the exquised Geforce4 Ti4400. In September I plan on building myself a Clawhammer System and have units done in a fraction of the time I do them now. In my free time I am usually driving around and visiting my friends in my 93 Chevy Lumina. Saturdays I bowl in the YABA league at Bristol Pike Lanes. I enjoy being a scientist and explorer and hope that I may be the one to receive the unit containing information on extraterrestial life.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I believe there is other life out there. If there wasn't life in outter space there is so much that we would be missing. Another culture to learn and discover from, different forms of technology to discover, there is so much that we could learn from another civilization that it could give us an idea on how to change life for the better. I figure, inorder to explore the deep regions of space we would have to bend time and/or space. They only way we can defy the natural aging of humanity is to be able to move at great distances without spending much time. Bending space would thus allow us to bring us closer to other solar systems, galaxies, and even civilizations. The only thing that could go wrong with bending space would be you would run a risk of creating black holes. Thus destroying earth. The milkyway galaxy may contain the only life form in the universe, but if thats true then the rest of the galaxy is spoiled.
