Personal background
Hello to all my fellow SETI-ites!!!!
Just writing a few lines to tell you all about me. I'm 35 soon, live close to the sea on the South Coast of England in West Sussex. I work for Rolls-Royce Motor Cars as a Quality Specialist. I got interested in SETI via my brother Steve. I crunch away for the UK Boinc Team and have recently upgraded my PC to a Core 2 Duo platform which seems pretty quick.

I enjoy hi-fi and music, especially the design of valve amplifiers and loudspeakers. Cycling is also an interest, but I never seem to get much time these days and I also enjoy composing music using my PC with Cubase in my little "bedroom" studio.
My poor old PC, if it isn't working its socks off crunching SETI WU's, then its pretending to be a synthesizer....and a very good one at that too!!!!

Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
Does ET life exist?!? My opinion says that it has to. If 'space' as we think of it is an infinite dimension, then there must be another planet that supports life...but maybe not the life as we know it.
We will discover something one day: If there is a planet out there, they may be a million years more advanced than us, and their signals will be well on the way. But will we see the signal.....will it be too weak for our equipment to detect....will we understand it.....?

We need to keep trying to find other lifeforms. Just as humans need to find friends.....just as companies need to find partners.......just as countries need to find coalitions.......our world needs a companion too. One day it will be our lifeline for survival......:)
