Yes I do think extraterrestrial life exists way out there. It would make logical sense in another galaxy and so on... If possible, I believe it will take a long time to discover any part of the puzzle. To me the dangers are nothing beside knowing we're not alone now and the benefits would be discoveries of newer technology and culture that could be put into practice in our world here. Yes humans should transmit a beacon for others to find, what do you think we're doing? I run SETI@home for the reason to support what I am a human and for the hell of it to look at my stats. We search and try to research for extraterrestrial life out there and everybody counts so besides letting my computer sit at night being on doing nothing I signup, what every computer user should do!
