Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I believe extraterrestrial life exists, and I also think there's a distinct possibility said life has visited the earth. There are some compelling UFO cases that have not been satisfactorily explained, and I look forward to a time when the majority of people on earth are mature enough to take the subject seriously. Finally, I think people will probably be quite surprised when they come to the realization that intelligent extraterrestrial life is probably vastly different from what they would initially assume. I think it is extremely likely that most extraterrestrial life manifests itself as intelligent forms of consciousness, bundles of information and energy that are free of physical body, and quite possibly able to manipulate and interject into the fabric of spacetime itself. I admit concepts like these are nearly impossible for us to fathom, but they appear likely given an extrapolation of the principals of scientific discovery and the end-goal of fully understanding life itself.
