My name is Scott Dukowitz, 35, and live in Fairview Heights, IL. I majored in mathematics in college and have always had a passion for science. I also enjoy working out, running, karate, piano and collecting books.
I was totally fascinated with this parallel internet computing concept (or whatever it is called) I like to envision the day when there are about a billion personal computers lending themselves to worthwhile pursuits, perhaps in the area of health care or other scientific endeavors. Perhaps, in some ways what SETI has further bolstered is another significant step in a more global community. I do understand the realities of political and social differences among us, but wouldn't it be great if someday we all really could figure it all out and just get along? There's a lot of questions that could potential be answered if we had the resources allocated in that direction. Just thinking of that 50 mile super-collider down in Texas that never got finished. In my lifetime, I hope I can at least see progress on a global level which do engender some of these thoughts, hopes and ideals.
