Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
1.) Yes I think there's life out there somewhere; there's just too much universe for us to be it. I am not a believer in UFOs and won't be until I knock on the door of one and some green character answers and shakes my hand. I highly doubt if we do discover there is other life forms out there that there would be any "benefit" or "danger." All we would gain is the knowledge that we are not alone.

2.) I do believe we should be sending a "beacon." Though we may not be around to learn it's been received, there may be someone out there wondering the same thing we are, are we alone? They would at least get some indication that there is, or was at one time, someone over here.

3.) I do this Sete@home thing because I think it's a great idea. I'm glad there's someone with the curiosity and the technology to try this. I'm happy to do my part.
