Personal background
Hello all,
I'am a Process Control Engineer living in the south of the Netherlands, 43 years old.
Distributed Concepts have my special interest, so the distributed search for SETI is a kind of my nature....

For leisure I play my saxophone in a funny band called 'de Ealènjers'.
Trying to be 'a good sport' Judo is my favourite sport.

Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
Extraterrestrial life exists definitly. The only thing is that, we humanoids, are much to pre-occupied thinking it will resemble the human race...

Probably virusses a very well capable to travel through time and space.
So the most 'intelligent' life forms are virusses (because they are the only non-living elements capable propagating though empty space and using any life form to copy themselves).

Most definitly we will discover some life forms out there... Millions and Billions stars exists so the probability is very high that nature creates mechanisms able to copy themselfs (....thus life).

Just because I believe humans should develop means of using all that computerpower for usefull purposes, I joined Seti@home.
Using and developing these kind of computer setup's will be benificial for human kind.
One of the funniest things related to seti@home is the creation of seti-groups all over the world. Thus seti@home is becoming a social activity.....
