| Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home |

1. I do believe extraterrestrial life exists. The universe is to vast for earth to be the only planetary being that has some sort of lifeform on it.
I believe that humans will discover these beings by conducting data analysis in the form of SETI@home. I do believe that it could happen at any time.
The obvious benefit would be that we would finally know the answer to the biggest question of celestial life.
A danger is, we can never be sure of their capabilities.
2. I think that we should send some sort of beacon to our extraterrestrial neighbours. This beacon should be one of a welcoming nature which gives them an idea of who we are.
3. I run the program because I think it is important to have analysis done on as much of the sky as possible. There is a lot of territory out there, we need as much help as possible to cover that vast area.
