Personal background
Went to S.U.N.Y. Stony Brook. Majored in Astrophysics and Physics with the intent to join the Colonization of Mars Project. I did this because I was fed up with society and the lies we are fed. I wanted to get off this planet before we blew ourselves up.

After George Bush Sr. (supposedly) did away with the star wars defense project, and started cutting down on funding for space exploration in the early 90's, I surmised that by the time I'd graduate, there would be no job for me in this field. So I took the next logical step and pursued a career in the music business.

Toured with Blues Traveler, Spin Doctors, Allman Brothers, and many underground bands in N.Y.C. for many years before I realized that even when you know the right people, it doesn't always help. I left the music business after seven years to jump into the lucrative computer field.

I am currently studying and managing WAN technology. I never forgot my true love of space and wish that there were a way back into the field every day. I would love to work on spacecraft design. An avid fan of science fiction, I have many creative ideas and am very good at mechanical drawing and design.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
1. Yes. How self centered can we be to think that we are all there are. I am glad we haven't made contact yet. We are not ready as a species to interact with others let alone ourselves in a decent manner. As long as money, greed and politics prevail as the only cares of the leaders of the human race, WE would be the aliens invading other populated worlds for our own purposes if we were a space-faring race.

2. Yes. We should send greetings, and a warning that we are an angry conquering politically inclined species, and to meet and greet us at your own risk.

3. I want that T-shirt if I find a signal! :) I'll go around saying "They took my work unit and flew to the stars, and all I got was this lousy T-shirt!".
Seriously though, I love SETI, the idea behind it. So many people are hopeful despite a greater chance of winning the lotto than finding intelligent life. I want to help fulfill my own dreams of a peaceful Earth communicating with peaceful extra-terrestrials. So while SETI helps to bring us closer to the boundaries of space, we need more help here at home to bring peace to ourselves so we may be ready for our first encounter.
