I think this universe is big enough that life evolved on more planets than just ours. And other planets don't even have to be in the green zone, after all, life on Earth had evolved in very different environments.
The dangers, I think, are similar as those on Earth. Alien microbes could be as dangerous to us as some of the microbes on Earth are. And contact with alien intelligence could be as disastrous as contact between Spanish Conquistadors and the Inkas. |
