Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I think the law of probabilities dictates that there is intelligent life out there somewhere. Trainsmitting into space and identifying where we are might be a double edged sword, depending on the nature of other intelligent life, but it is a chance worth taking to learn if there are others out there. I run Seti@home because I believe in the project and the prospect of finding evidence of other intelligent life in the universe is exciting.
