Personal background
I am a 28 year old stay at home father from Las Vegas. I run a small computer consulting business at night.

I love reading. My interests are many. I enjoy studying various religions. I feel it is the very nature of human beings to worship something gretaer than themsleves.

Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I know life exsists elsewhere. I think we are on the verge of a discovery of some sort of proof, no matter how small it may be. I think we will see the beginings of this new revelation into LIFE within my generation.

The benefits of discovery are numerous. First and foremost is the very fact that we are not alone in this vast universe. Second, it will force nations to think universally. In light of such a discovery it would experience many pains. Religious figures would have a problem with this.

Humanity should not transmit a beacon. The wrong ears may be listening for such a beacon. That could be bad...

I run Seti@home because I believe in the search. I have always wanted to participate in an experiment that will change the world. I run it on my desktop machine (800mhz Athlon, 256mb ram).

I feel this project is pure genius. When I first heard of it I was very excited and jumped on board as quickly as I could click.

As far as suggestions, make it faster!
