| I am a 32 year old male from Wichita, Kansas, and I own my own graphic/web design business. In my spare time I write and record music in my home studio. I enjoy all types of music but my favorite genre is electronic, which is also the type I compose. I also have interests in astronomy, the paranormal, ufo's and aliens, lost civilizations, and metaphysics. You know... all the cool stuff. :) |

| I believe that the idea that extra terrestrial life exists is not just a possibilty but a given reality. In my humble opinion it seems arrogant to think that Earth would hold the only life in our vast universe. Remember, there was a point in the history of man when we believed if you sailed too far you would drop off the edge of the Earth. Imagine our surprise when we found people living on the other side of the ocean! As far as humans benefiting from contact with such beings, I believe that it would be a very important step in changing our views of reality and the universe around us, however I do not believe that any "magical" answers lie in this discovery. First of all, there is obviously no guarantee that these beings will be any more evolved or enlightened than us. And suppose we came in contact with an enlightened race. Given our history with each other who is to say this would be a positive experience for them? Perhaps there are other races already aware of our presence, but who are waiting for us to clean up our act before they make contact. Admit it. We have alot of work to do here at home. When we do make contact, let's make sure that we are representatives of a planet that can be proud of it's development and not a negative influence on the universe. Regardless of our needs for change on our own planet I believe that the discovery of other lifeforms on distant worlds is an important step in our education about life, philosophy and spirituality. And I am glad to be a part of it. |
