Something about me...
I'm a person with many interests - one of them is my current job - working as a flight-attendant. It gives me the opportunity of travelling aroud a lot - meeting interesting people, getting to new places...
I'm in my mid 20s at the moment - my hobbies used to be many - now they are somewhat limited to sunbathing, sitting in front of my computer and chatting with friends, going for hikes or to the beach, ... If I get the chance I like to do anything though - trying wakeboarding, going skiing, playing icehockey, or going for a jog in the countryside.
I originally come from Austria (my heart's still there ;) ), but also lived one year in the states (near Boston) and now I am living in the UAE.
I have a laptop (makes it more easy if you travel :) ) - config: P III - 1.1 GB, 20 GB HDD, and 256 MB Ram, DVD, 14.1 TFT and everything that goes along with it (ext. CD-Writer, Printer, Scanner, ... (do I sound like a computerfreak? :) ).

| Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home |

1. Do I think ET-life exists? Sure I do ! Why should we be the only ones? To try to quote (don't have the book with me write now) one famous writer (Terry Prattchet): "The universe is so vast - it can contain anything... and so eventually - it does " :)
Will we discover it? I'd rather think - according to our technic today - that, should we get in contact with ET-life, they will discover and contact us.
Benefits and dangers of such a discovery: too many to list them (-:
2. We could try - what we should transmit? Hmm - some song from Mozart (would make me proud of my homecountry! *gg* )
3. Why do I run it? It's a good usage of my computer, when I am not using it - and it prevents it from "dying in it's sleep" (my computer had the habit of going into sleep-mode and not waking up :( ).
And btw: if you find tipping mistakes: you can keep them - they're for free ;).
