Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
1). I have been interested in S.E.T.I. since I first heard about it on TV
when I was very young.
2). I run SETI@home because it is a great way to help in the advancement of
our knowledge of space and to hopefully be the one to help find our first
off world neighbour.
3). They are out there it is just a matter of time before we find them or
vice-versa as we have found living creatures in the extreme cold of space
and the deepest part of our oceans near volcanic vents.
Yes we should be transmitting our own signal because they may be doing
the exact same S.E.T.I. program as we are and one of us must transmit
because if we all just sit back and listen while no one is transmitting
then it is a waste of time listening.
