Profile: Lowell R. & Marlene A. Campbell

Personal background
Contrary to the niave surmise in the Book of Genesis (mankind new nothing of the universe of that time), the universe was not created for the human species. Further, the circumstances that gave rise to life on Planet Earth cannot be unique; it occurred, utilizing the most abundant elements found on Earth, early in its existence. Chance alone, best expressed in the Drake Equation, promises galaxies teeming with life on planets of similar circumstances elsewhere in the Milky Way Galaxy, beyond which is not within our reach at this time. Our search has only begun. With some 3 to 5 million searchers we shall succeed. Other means of search will emerge. Our success is only a matter of time. Marlene and I can only hope that it happens within our remaining lifetimes, but that is extremely unlikely.

Lowell R. Campbell is a retired former urban transportation engineer of 69 years of age, now retired, engaged in software development to assist Type 1 diabetics in the difficult task of plasma glucose control, having been of said circumstance since 1957.

Marlene A. Campbell, a mother of 4, is now a very active artist, member of a group of artists operating the Medea Gallery in Winnipeg, MB, CANADA, she of 68 years of age.

We are blessed with 7 grandchildren.
