Profile: J. P. Haliburton

Personal background
I am into my fifth decade and live in Lewisporte, NL, Canada where I work mostly as a Land Survey Technician. When not making my computers available for Seti@Home, I enjoy sailing, kayaking, hiking, bicycle, XC skiing, Geocaching and such activities.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I run SETI@home because computers might as well be useful for something. The project is worthwhile just on the off chance that something is found. I've been involved since Tuesday, April 8, 2003, 14:11:54UTC. 751 data units were completed in the old software before switching to BOINC in Nov. 2004.
