I was born and raised in the northern Chicago metro area of Lake County, IL. I currently reside in the Texas Hill Country where I retired at age 55. I spent 30 years in the field of computer operations. My main interest is enjoying the quite serenity of nature, but also enjoy model building.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I personally beleive that we are not alone in the universe. I believe Carl Sagan stated that it would be a terrible waste of space if we were alone. The greatest benefit of discovering exterrestrial life would be that humans might finally learn humility. I beleive that the best attempt so far was the plaque and information designed by Carl Sagan and his wife Ann, that is part of Voyager. I beleive that SETI is one of the most worthwhile ventures attempted my humans.
SETI@home and Astropulse are funded by grants from the National Science Foundation, NASA, and donations from SETI@home volunteers. AstroPulse is funded in part by the NSF through grant AST-0307956.
