I live in Helsinki, Finland and work for University of Helsinki Language Centre as an it-analyst or whatever it would be in English. Main job is to create and maintain learning environments, keep servers and computers running and study the future. Computing is one of my hobbies and that is the reason it became my occupation. Actually I studied to be a teacher, but that job was not challenging enough.
Freetime is spent travelling and scuba-diving round the world. Travel accounts and some picture libraries can be found on my web page:

Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I have always had a strong feeling about life beyond our physical limits. I don't know what kind of life that could be.
I would like to be alive when Seti@home eventually finds a track of intelligence up there and surely would like to be the one who's computer did find it!
SETI@home and Astropulse are funded by grants from the National Science Foundation, NASA, and donations from SETI@home volunteers. AstroPulse is funded in part by the NSF through grant AST-0307956.
