Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I believe life exists where ever energy interfaces with matter. I feel the dynamic between the earth and sun is representative of the rest of our universe. With tongue in cheek I feel life exists within the equals sign of E=MC2.

Will we discover life via Seti? Probably not. It's at best a long shot, but one we must take.

I see no danger in discovering life elsewhere.

Contact would awaken our human race to reality currently denied by theology. Even today we humans live in a flat earth mentality with gods descending from above and humans beseeching heavenly host. That ignornace is indoctrinated into young people from birth forward. A baby born in Des Moines could grow up to be just as good a Muslim as a baby born in Kabul. It's all in what we are taught. The eternal creative life giving light from on high is the sun. Theology is local tradition (Islam, Christianity, Hindu, Shinto, etc.)addressing an shared inner human need.

Do aliens live among us on earth? No!

Should we transmit a beacon? Yes. Often!

I run SETI@home to do my part.
