Personal background
I'm 34 and currently live in Leeds - England, having recently moved from Edinburgh.

I'm a Technical Support manager responsible for overseeing our end-user support across various locations throughout the UK

I enjoy reading, photography, walking, cycling, motorcycling and diving.

And for anyone interested I would recommend reading 'Cauldron of Hell : Tunguska' which discusses a very strange occurance over Siberia in the early 1900s.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I think anyone who believes we are alone in the universe is trying to kid themselves.

Statistics alone prove that other life must be out there.

What sort of life...we can't tell.

Our biggest problem is determining what type of lifeforce we should be looking for. Think about it, the only life we know is what is on this planet. But why should we be concentrating on planets similar in composition to ours? We now know that there are type of life not dependant on Oxygen. We've found bacteria that can live off pure sulphur fumes. So what does that tell us?

For all we can tell we may have already found other lifeforms but we just don't know it. We just don't know (or refuse to except) that life can grow without dependancy on the same parameters we require.
