Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I believe there must be life out there, we are here and the odds that we are alone are far greater than the odds that someone else is out there, they could be more primitive or far more advanced. We will never know if we dont try to find them. I also wonder if they are trying to contact us, and if they are, are they using some sort of technology that we are completely unaware of, something that we just dont see. Or if we do see, are we just ignoring it and writing it off as some sort of galactic noise. And the light that is bombarding our planet every second of every day.does it contain some sort of message? Maybe, maybe not. And if it does was it sent from a race that is now extinct, since it may have taken tens of thousands of years to get here? And will we be extinct when someone hears our messages? Its strange to think that our race could be gone for millions of years, and our messages will still echo through space and time. One thing is for sure, we must learn to get along with one another here on earth before all we become is an echo bouncing through space and time.
