Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
Yes extraterrestrial life exists and I will be the one to find them. Quite soon I think.
What are the benefits of such a discovery? Well pretty much anything and everything. We'll be writing scientific journals about how they wipe their butts.
Dangers ? we'll probably screw it all up because the majority of humans cannot deal with things that they dont understand, they just try to eliminate it.
Sure lets send out a beacon. It's not like were hiding here in our little corner of the galaxy.
I run SETI at home because I do believe that the ETs are out there. And maybe if we contact them we'll have something better to do than killing eachother over Oil and Money. I think the SETI at home project is an incredibly innovative idea and I'm proud to be a part of it.
