Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I run SETI@home because I want to be a part of the effort to establish contact with other civilizations from other worlds.
This is an extremely worthwhile project in that it has an important leadership role in research. The more participants in SETI@home, the faster we get to the data. The faster we process the data, the sooner we get an historic result.
Given the number of potentially inhabitable worlds, contact is only a matter of time.
