Profile: Martín López

Personal background
Hi I'm Martín López from Buenos Aires, Argentina. I'm 18 years old.
I'm a big fan of ET, and i've always wanted to find them.
Now, due to SETI@HOME, I and millions of people all around the world have the possibilitie to find ET.

Actually, I'm working in my home with two computers:
1) Pentium III, 1000 Mhz. with 192 MB-Ram.
2) Pentium II, 400 Mhz. with 325 MB-Ram.

With these two computers, I try to send to SETI@HOME the work units as fast as i can.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
1) Yes, I think ET exists. But I think we are not going to find them. They're going to find us. If we make contact with ET, I think there would be several benefits to our civilization. They can explain to us their advanced technologies. They can explain us how to be in peace, how to avoid wars and pain.
But in the other hand, they could be a very dangerous problem to us.
They could think that we're a primitive civilization and think that we only want to destroy things and life instead of creating.

2) Yes, I think we should send beacons all the time, in everywhere in the sky, in different languages and codes so they can undestand them.
The only information they must have: is our exact location in the galaxy with a binary picture of a man and a woman.

3) I run SETI because in all my life I've only wanted to find ET. I think the project is perfect.
Suggestions:
a) I think you should make comercials on the TV on the internet on the paper, everywhere. The more people see what SETI is, the more people will participate.
b) I think in the web page, you should try to show all the users in the different lists.
EG: When I list the users in Argentina, you only show the first 1000. I think every user must appear in his own country.
c) The same suggestion for the groups.

PS: Excuse me for my English. I wrote the correct as I could. :)
