Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I find it unbeliefable that our planet is the only place in this wide area we call universum where this phantastic thing happens, that we call:
LIFE!
As the scientists shows us the live can exixssts on places we thought yesterday that's it is impossible (e.g. the black smoker in the deep sea, within the arctic ice and in the earth, where no light or oxygen is). Maybe it's not such a accident that live here and somewhere else exists.
In the moment, we can only listen, what they say (if there is someone of course). We can't even answer (it took too long that the answer reaches them). And if we find a extraterrestrical signal it may takes very long to understand the language and to understand what they say.
From my point of view, the human race is prepared enough to understand that we are not alone in the universum. And if they don't send us 'Build an Enterprise for Dummies' we might not see them...
