| Hi there, I've been with SETI since the beginning way back in 1999. I am the casual computer user, not having his computer on 24/7 like you power users, nor do I have ultra fast machines. I am smart enough to use Linux (of the Debian flavor) but run Window$ for BOINC because on my system it runs more stable. I'm in my mid 20s and I'm a meteorologist working for an FAA contractor. |

BOINC is great, but why do we have to store our computer prefrences on the boinc server? It would be a LOT more convenient to store preferences in BOINC on which the program is running...
And I love the concept of SETI and long range climate forecasting with distributed computing. Keep it up. |
