Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I think that there is life on other planets and in other solar systems.
I don't know if we will find any in our lifetimes. The distances involved are just too great. If we make contact with other life forms we have a 50/50 chance they are friendly. They could give us a tech boost, or destroy or enslave us, or anything in between. In our own best interests we should listen and listen carefully to all we can hear or learn in or of space and then, if, we recieve a signal debate whether a signal should be sent to them, even though we have been sending signals into space for years and they may already know of us.
