I'm a 33 year old guy from Holland, who's day mainly revolves around SAP and all the technical problems a SAP installation can throw at you.
When I'm not working I like going to concerts and music festivals. Also, an occasional movie helps me relax after a hard day of work. |
| Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home |

It's hard to believe that the best the universe could come up with, is us. In such a big universe there is bound to be other life in other places. Whether this is limited to bacterial and maybe plant-like organisms remains to be seen. Maybe there is a more advanced species than man out there, the trouble is finding it (needle and haystack, anyone?). Maybe they're looking for us too. Who knows.....?
Currently, I have Boinc running on my home computer and my work laptop. I used to have a couple of servers chipping in, but since I changed jobs a few years back, I'm down to only two clients. These two remaining clients are obviously faster than the older ones, so in throughput it shouldn't make much difference. I'm not a very big player but I think that every completed work unit helps :) |
