Profile: Edward Nachman

Personal background
63 years of age. Remember reading "The Man Who Sold The Moon." when it first came out. I am into video editing and animation. The only reason I can see that intelligent life exists elsewhere in the universe is because they are intelligent enough NOT to contact us.

Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
Considering all the galaxies there is a chance of ETs. Humans will discover ET when ET wants us to. Benefits are medical and technology. Dangers are elimination of our species which most likely would be instantaneous and no one would realize it. Transmitting beacons? We seem to be doing all right and don't need to contaminate others. Running SETI@home is assisting others without financial resources.
