Certified (or certifiable), amature computer nut. Most of my "free" time is spent in front of my PC (or thinking up ways to get a nap). No place to hide. SETI@Home is now running on all of the PCs in my network.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
SETI is a very exciting project.
Is there life elsewhere in the universe? Absolutely.
Will we get together for a cold beverage of choice at sometime in the future? Absolutely.
Have we already had contact? Most likely and, most likely unknown to us.
With SETI@Home I can now say I am being productive, even when I am staring at my screensaver.
